Give and help support our ownership of the MAKC library in Blairsville. Many members think that MAKC doesn’t have to pay taxes. We own six properties counting our headquarters/library building. While members get a tax deduction for donating to our all-volunteer non-profit, we are not exempt from paying property taxes.
We pay about $1700 in property taxes for owning this facility. Our other services such as water and trash removal and municipal police and similar services ($480), the electric ($480) and gas bills ($475) plus the taxes amount to about $3400 annually. Give now!
