Application for Permit Application for Billy Clay Cave Preserve. This is the form for trip leaders to fill out. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST FILL OUT A TRIP PARTICIPANT APPLICATION.

Trip date. Permits are issued on a first come, first serve basis. Persons intending on visiting during caving events such as OTR are encouraged to apply early. Priority will be given to advanced applicants, however, if there are still days available, the access coordinator may issue permits on site. Only one permit will be issued per day to protect the cave, and due to covenants agreed to during the year-long negotiations to buy the property. Permits will be good only for the date imprinted on them. It is to your benefit to indicate an alternative date below, but it is not required. In the event that your first date is already filled, and your altenrative date is not yet taken, you will be issued a permit for the second date. If both are not available the access coordinator or other MAKC rep will take reasonable steps to notify you and give you the option to re-schedule.
The person requesting a permit (No. 1 above) has read, understands and accepts all of the terms and conditions of the permit application and the MAKC Management Plan for the Billy Clay Cave Preserve. He/she further agrees to display any issued permit prominently on the dashboard of his/her vehicle while parked at the preserve. Failure to do so could result in prosecution for trespassing under terms of the Slatyfork Village Conditions of Sale.
