Rogers Belmont Preserve Permit Application

Application for visitation to the Rogers Belmont Preserve. Each person on the trip should fill out the form and return it via email or mail to cave preserve manager at 622 Christiansen Drive, Strasburg, VA 22657.

BE IT KNOWN TO ALL WHO APPLY FOR A PERMIT TO VISIT THE ROGERS BELMONT CAVE PRESERVE THAT: Cave exploration can be a dangerous endeavor. The Mid-Atlantic Karst Conservancy, Inc., its board of directors, the property owners of the caves and trail, the Rogers Belmont Cave Preserve management team or access coordinator, the National Speleological Society or its local chapters (grottos) or any individual members thereof will not be liable for any damages, accidents, injuries, or death on the surface or subsurface of the property. All the above named organizations and/or individuals will also not be liable for any damage or loss of personal property while visiting the preserve. Also note that the swallet cave floods during wet weather, so trips to this cave should not be done during a rainstorm or if rain is forecast.
Disclosure Regarding Permitted Trip Date.
Permits will be good only for the date imprinted on them. In the event that your first date is already filled, and your alternative date is not yet taken, you will be issued a permit for the second date. If both are not available the access coordinator or other MAKC rep will take reasonable steps to notify you and give you the option to re-schedule.
