Volunteers have helped us install a secure and safe driveway, clear brush away from the cave entrance, install a gate to the driveway and are helping us manage the cave. We are all volunteers.
Please keep in mind that previously cavers parked along the road and went along a trail to the cave that is no longer on our property. The adjacent farm has been sold and access to the cave must now be from our two-acre parcel. Thus, a new trail has beenestablished.
The initial work has been completed and the cave, weather-permitted, is considered open. However, groups intending to go MUST fill out a free permit application and be approved by the preserve managers to avoid overcrowding on a single day. The parking area has room for five to six vehicles.
