Although Jeff began caving in high school when he lived in Pittsburgh, it was only after joining Front Royal Grotto in 2003 that he became actively involved in the caving community. His association with MAKC came as a direct result of a grotto trip to the Bear Cave property in 2004.
Jeff enjoys both horizontal and vertical caving and has a particular interest in caves that exhibit a variety of erosion features and twisting passages. Becoming more involved in cave surveying is one of his goals.
Jeff is a graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. Degree in Geology. He is married with two grown children and lives in Winchester, VA.
