\"\"Did you know that not only does the MAKC have scientists on its board of directors, but that it also encourages scientific work on its preserves. The MAKC Science Committee now has an email address<\/a>, and has developed a MAKC Science Permit Application<\/a> for all science projects.<\/p>\n

We should note that scientific work on leased preserves is different from scientific work on owned preserves. While owned preserves only require permission of the committee, or, on occasion the board, scientific work on leased preserves requires the permission of the owners.<\/p>\n
