D. Trip Date

Permits are issued on a first come, first serve basis. Persons intending on visiting during caving events such as OTR are encouraged to apply early. Priority will be given to advanced applicants, however, if there are still days available, the access coordinator may issue permits on site. Only one permit will be issued per day to protect the cave, and due to covenants agreed to during the year-long negotiations to buy the property. Permits will be good only for the date imprinted on them. It is to your benefit to indicate an alternative date below, but it is not required. In the event that your first date is already filled, and your alternative date is not yet taken, you will be issued a permit for the second date. If both are not available the access coordinator or other MAKC rep will take reasonable steps to notify you and give you the option to re-schedule.
