This is "1000 Steps", a very interesting hike we did at MAR. It consists of hewn stones built by quarry workers. It runs from Rt. 22 to the Link Trail (linking the Appalachian and Mid-State Trails), with nice views. Near the top was the building shown below which (I think) was used to store the railroad car used to move the quarried rock.
