Pittsburgh Grotto Listserve

Greetings fellow Pittsburgh Grotto members,

I have taken the liberty of creating an email distribution list (same thing as d-list or listserv) so that Pittsburgh Grotto members can send email to all of the other folks in the grotto who have email. First off, let me say that this is not an "official" d-list. I have just seen how other grottos and outdoor clubs have greatly benefited from having a d-list/listserv and decided to create one. My intention is for people to use this list to help communicate upcoming trips that they would like to open up to other grotto members. This works especially well for "last minute" trips that get planned a couple days in advance. Note: This is not intended in any way to replace the normal newsletter or web page, but simply to supplement them.

All you need to do to send email to everyone on the list is to join the group at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/p-grotto/

One general point of list etiquette: if you want to reply to a person specifically, make sure you send email to that person and not the entire list.

Well, I hope this helps us all get underground a little bit more often.
