Since February 2004, the MAKC has offered a special pet membership. It costs $6 and covers your pet for life. There are a few stipulations with this type of membership: pet members do not have voting rights and they will not receive news letters. The MAKC had it's first official pet member join in December 2005. Bailey, a two year old Weimaraner owned by John Shero, became the first pet member.
