Mike has been caving since 1991 and shortly thereafter changed his college major to geology.

He is a licensed professional geologist and is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He joined the MAKC board in 2008.

He has been an active caver for many years and is intersted in cave mapping and researching locations of potential new caves.

Mike is married with a young daughter and resides on a small farmstead in Somerset County.
