The Planned Cleanup of Schofer Cave in Conjunction with the Pennsylvania Game Commission has been confirmed and Will Occur.

This will be a special event because Schofer Cave is gated and access is generally prohibited.

Directions to Onyx Cave Property

Starting point will be to get to Carlisle, PA area. For those coming from west that will involve getting on PA turnpike and getting off Carlisle exit 226.  For those coming from south that will involve getting on I-81 north and heading towards Carlisle.  From Carlisle, continue on I-81 north about 40 miles and merge onto I-78 via exit 89 toward Allentown; go 29 miles and merge onto PA-61 South via exit 29A toward Reading; go 4.5 miles and turn left onto Moselem Springs Road (PA-662); go 2.4 miles and turn left onto Windsor Castle Road; go .5 miles and turn right onto Onyx Cave Road; go about 1.1 miles and cave property will be on right just past the Perry Township Park.
